good christmas lights?

When I lived in NJ, there were always these 2 "battling houses" that tried to outshine the other with having the most Christmas lights on their houses (it was really amazing!). There were also areas that were well known for having great Christmas decorations and lights. Are there any places like that in Central FL?

Thanks!

Merry 23 days until Christmas!Big Smile

Re: good christmas lights?

  • I don't know about neighborhoods but we're going to check out Light Up UCF. I've heard good things about it.

I'm a sucker for anything Christmas so if you guys know of any cool places to check out please let me know.

  • The town of Celebration.

You can make an evening of it. They have snow falling, etc -- take a look at this link.

There are a few houses with lights set to music.

  • My good friend has her house all lit up, it even goes to music.  When you drive you, you tune into a specific station and you'll hear the music and the lights dance to it.  it's great.

if you want her address you can e-mail me at: gianvanwedding at yahoo.com

(there is another similar house about 2 streets down from hers as well)

  • Of course all of the attractions have beautiful decorations (Disney, etc) but you don't have to pay the theme park tickets to see them.  The big Disney Resorts (Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary, Poly, Yacht & Beach) have gorgeous holiday displays in their lobby - beautiful trees, ornate gingerbread houses (the one in GF is incredible).  You can drive over to Disney and go resort hopping to check them all out.  Be sure to get hot chocolate at the Grand Floridian gingerbread house, so cute!
  • I like that idea about visiting all the Disney resorts!

If you look on news 13'c website they have some houses with the addresses listed to go check out.
