Chocolate bar v. Chocolate baking bar?
I've decided to try TTT's cake recipe (because that is the only one that I know I can find all of the?ingredients?for).
Is there a difference between a baking bar and a regular chocolate bar??

I think it depends on the recipe and the chocolate bar. For example, if the recipe calls for unsweetened chocolate, it'd probably be hard to find that in candy-bar form (maybe easier where you are where people like it really dark!).
Baker's chocolate would be the way to go if you have Kraft products in your stores. Otherwise, I'm sure there's a Czech brand if you look in the baking aisle. Actually, I'm sure you have access to better chocolate over there than Baker's, but I know to recommend that, whereas I'm not sure what the best baking chocolate in the Czech Republic is.
What type of chocolate does the recipe call for? Most recipes call for bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate. A chocolate bar is usually milk chocolate or dark chocolate, both of which would be too sweet for a recipe calling for bittersweet or semi-sweet.
I'm completely salivating now...
Oh! Also, when buying baking chocolate, since I know you're not totally fluent in Czech yet, you can look at the Cacao content.
Unsweetened Chocolate - 100% cacao
Dark Chocolate - 70% cacao
Bittersweet Chocolate - 67% cacao
Semisweet Chocolate - 54% - 60% cacao
Sweet Chocolate - <50% cacao
Since my old boss was married to a German guy for a while, I imagine (from the chocolates in their home) that it won't be hard to find 60%+ cacao chocolates in Europe. Just double check what else is in them (like Toblerone has those hazelnut slivers, for example).
Yay! I hope it turns out delicious for you. I don't think there's really a difference, just that baking bars tend to come in easily divideable or individually wrapped ounces for convenience.
