Our First Christmas.....
So it's that magical time of year when we drag out all the boxes and bins, put on some lovely christmas music, make a cocktail and begin the arduous task of decorating. This is the first year I will be doing so with Sandy and we are both excited. I hope it stays cold here in Florida during December so we can have a fire in the fireplace too.
I love the twinkling lights, the pretty ornaments, the smell of fresh pine boughs and the overall coziness it all brings to our home. Baking homemade cookies and packaging them beautifully to give to our friends and family....piling up on the couch with a blanket and hot chocolate and watching a movie....hanging the christmas stockings and filling them with little treats for christmas morning.
It's such a fun time and things that normally seem tough are just a little easier. People smile a little more and are more caring and it's such a good time to send cards or emails to friends you haven't been in touch with for a while.
