totally lame cupcake question.
LOL.
Ok, so what kind of frosting sits atop the grocery store cupcakes? It's light and airy, and it's usually the white kind...I can't remember if the chocolate frosted ones have the same texture.
I totally feel like this is something I should know....but I can't, for the life of me, figure it out. Help?

DH just told me what it's made of. He was a pastry chef for a few years...so I asked him what the light, airy, stiff white frosting was made of, he told me it's "lard frosting". EWWWWWWWW. but it's so yummy! I think I'll think twice about it next time.
Mayer's bakery has the best buttercream.....drool....
but you know what, the whipped cream frosting that only comes from Asian bakeries is the bomb, too!
