Time for the convertible car seat!

My babe now weighs in at 22lbs and it is time to get him out of the infant carrier *sniff sniff* He's growing so quickly...it amazes me too that he is weigh in at this much, because he still has to get down "3 meals a day" (he only really gets a new food for breakfast and then solids for dinner, with puffs in between) and really has no interest in solids - so it is mainly all from nursing *eeep*

Re: Time for the convertible car seat!

  • That is an exciting milestone Lisa! As sad as it is... you must be a little relieved to not have to lug Austin around... he must have been killing your arm!!! Napping still isnt gettting any better?
  • Oh yeah, I'm so glad I am done with that - he still can't sit on his own since he is so heavy, so that will make it interesting if I try to sit him up in the shopping cart...nope, he's still an erratic napper and still getting up 2-3x a night to eat...a lot of times when I put him down to nap he decides to play instead of sleep too - that is NOT fun...
  • I'm with you!  Not because Ryan has outgrown it... he's only at 16 pounds... but he's so long and doesn't like to be carried around in it anymore... he's WAY too indpendent... we will be installing my nice britax cowmooflage this weekend :)

you are giving him puffs?  I'm so confused with foods... the only thing he's tried are the stage 1 veggies and fruits... I have no idea how to introduce puffs, yogurt etc...

  • Yep, I picked up some Gerber puffs the other week and started to give them to him...at first he didn't know what to make of them and coughed on them, but he quickly got the hang of picking them up and chewing them...they dissolve in the mouth, so you don't have to worry about choking, which I am totally paranoid about! i just introduced the puffs like any other food, in the morning etc. I am going to try and introduce yogurt this weekend...I'm constantly checking the food labels on the stage 2 foods to make sure all the ingredients are something that he may have had already - if there is anything in there he hasn't had yet...like cinnamon for example, I introduce it like any regular new food and watch for allergies. Austin really wants finger foods, but isn't quite ready for mashing them...I tried diced peaches this morning and he gagged on them....but I think it might have been more because of the taste, because they are pretty mushy...
  • WOW!  Owen is 19 months old & 23 lbs.
