As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Invite to the Tribe?
I'm kind of new to the whole "internet message board" thing...I posted very infrequently while planning my wedding last year on the Knot.
I emailed Melany about signing up for the Tribe and she told me that it's now invite only...but I don't know anyone online!
Would anyone be willing to recommend me? If so, send me a private message...I'm willing to answer any questions you have.

Hello Milano-- Yes, the Tribe has become a 'closed' board and is now invite only. How did you hear about it?
It looks like this is your one and only post on the Nest. Have you been lurking on the Nest long?
yup, invite only. Pretty discouraging, huh? I thought the same thing when I was told that. . . . "how can I get someone to recommend me when I don't even know who's on that board?"
Regardless of how many posts you have, you just wanna chat with local girls from the same area you're from and they are outright telling you NO!
Ridiculous if you ask me.
KAG - not sure if you'll even see this since I originally posted over a month ago, and really haven't checked back since.
I heard about the Tribe by checking out this Nest board, it's pretty clear that all the ladies are posting somewhere else since it seems not too active:) and it was in more than a few topics of other posts.
And no, haven't been lurking long. Like I said in my original post, I posted on the Knot while planning my wedding, but never went over the Nest afterwards. I thought I'd give the whole online message board thing a try and connect with other women in the area.
I live in Norwalk, have been happily married for about a year and a half. No kids yet, but hopefully sometime soon. And just looking to connect with other women in the area...and don't know anyone on the "tribe" as of now so just looking for an invite. Thanks! And looks like your baby is due really soon - congratulations!
