As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

hey lady....i wish i had your number today 
i don't know what you might be able to do, or if you can do anything about this, but i was coming from the bjcc area today, and i saw a black lab kind of wandering about. he was at the corner of 19th st N and 9th ave N....
i sat out there with him for a while trying to get someone on the phone who could come help me...but no one could come....i called animal control (although i didn't want to), CAP, my vet clinic, and finally the humane society....no one could or would come help....
turns out...i met some folks in that area who said the dog belongs to a guy who owns a shop across the street....he has the black one and a yellow one. but he lets them walk the streets loose...they get in the road....he has no shelter for them...and he leaves them there on weekends and stuff....
the dog looked healthy...looked like it has eaten and stuff, but was shaking from the cold and the rain....was soaked, and had nasty fur....
i don't know...i just thought i might pass this along to see if anything could really be done for these dogs....

GBHS has some good info on what to do...I'd probably call the number listed for City of Birmingham and talk to the dispatcher about the dog. At the very least maybe they'll send a car by to talk to the business owner. Unfortunately, you can't make some one give ashit :-(

i was walking otherwise i might have piled him in my car with me and taken him to the HS....
the people i talked with said that they have complained on him, citizens have complained....the HS has been by to talk with him...but no change...
i guess i can say that i tried...
