I am in the looking for a house zone and not in the mood to really decorate. I think my thinking comes from - people don't see it (except for my parents when they come visit after Christmas Day. We hardly ever have people over and they are only over for like 10 minutes to meet up with us and go. I think it's a huge waste this year. I will be so excited to decorate and have people over once we get into a house. I'm just not into it. DH said he would like one but sees my point. If we would get one it would be a 4 footer (we usually get 6 or 7). I just don't see going and spending that money this year.
Am I being a scrooge (I hope not that isn't my intent)? Or is this justifible?
Re: I don't feel like putting up a tree this year.
I think you're allowed. We didn't put up a tree last year becasue we putting flooring in our living room, and we're not here for Chritmas Eve or Christmas Day.
I went and got a 2ft table top tree to have one in the house. Maybe that's an option for you?
You're not being a scrooge, as long as you're happy it's fine. My brother and his wife don't like putting up a tree because they always come home to PA for a week and wouldn't be around the tree long enough to enjoy it.
Maybe just something little instead would help put you in the Christmas spirit, but I understand not wanting to take the time and money for the whole tree setup.
