Let me tell you why.
So, we ate dinner and all four of us were congregating in Matt's office before he and Alex went out to run a quick errand. Molly is sleeping in her boppy chair, and her bink is sitting on her blanket.
Alex comes in and notices the bink. Matt and I look at each other but decide to see what he does rather than jump to take it away.
He then tries to put it in Molly's mouth. So we took it away but thanked him for being such a big boy and a great helper.
Then, he comes over to the desk and gets the bulb syringe from the hospital- you know, the big green thing they use to get the nasties out of babies' noses.
Matt says, "oh god, he's going to put it in his mouth."
I responded, "let's just see what he does, we're close enough to grab it if it heads in that direction."
Alex went back to Molly and attempted to suction her out.
I was in awe. Of course, he doesn't know how to squeeze it or anything, so he was more gently poking her in the nose, but Matt and I were speechless.
Matt's now taking Alex for an ice cream in addition to on his errand. I freaking love my son. Beyond words.
Re: i freaking LOVE Alex.
AW! That is so cute! It is so amazing to me how observant they are, how they take in everything they see.. and how much they learn from doing just that!
Alex is going to be so protective and proud of Molly! = )
That's awesome! It was must be amazing to watch the interaction between your children....especially with Alex. He sounds like such a sweetheart.
Children amaze me. My daughter is around the same age and she is always surprising me. I expect her to do one thing, and she does the complete opposite...and the things that are coming out her mouth are astonishing. They really do pay attention.
Awww...what a great big brother. Go Alex!
