for partial highlights and a haircut??  I'm shopping for a new hairdresser (who left the place I used to go, but I thought was overpriced anyway) and am suprised at the going rate.  I don't want to sound like a cheap @ss, but my lord, this stuff is expensive...

 On a random note, how is everyone doing?  I know I haven't been on much lately - life is keeping me busy...  Hope everyone is well!

When I get my hair cut and colored, I pay $75 I think.  I don't usually get highlights, but when I did it seems like I paid $120 for everything...  However, I do remember paying $90 one time...  This probably isn't much help!  LOL!

I don't mess with color anymore.  It's hard to highlight really dark brown hair.  When I get my hair cut and styled, it's $26.  In Auburn, though, it was $35.

I don't do color, but my lady charges $35 for a cut and style.  I don't get my hair washed though, so I'm sure it's more with that.

It costs me about $85 to get a cut and a highlight, of course I use the foil so that's more expensive.

I'm doing well thank you.  I understand about being busy that's the story of my life. lol  That pic of Jenna is so cute!

I pay around $95 for highlights, including tip. With a haircut, it's more like $135 to $140.

One reason why I have to strategically plan out when I'm getting my hair done, budgeting wise!

I should note.... I have a lot of color done.. highlights and lowlights. I'm a blonde in person but naturally I'm a brunette.

Too much!  For both a highlight and a cut, it's usually 120-150 and that is tip included.

Well, I thought I was being bent over paying $135, but I guess that's the norm for some.  Just a racket!  No wonder I usually go 6 months between!

There is no way i'm putting what i pay on here.  You guys will think i'm nuts (and i am!) Anyway, i'm looking for someone around b'ham b/c i can't keep paying what i do...And my hair right now looks awful!

I am looking for someone new around B'ham too.  The last two people that did my hair did not do a good job.  Maybe for the third time I can find someone who can get it right.  Let me know if you find someone good.

My BIL's girlfriend does mine..she only charges me 15 but I pay her 25-30 so she'll have a tip.  That's for a wash/cut/style.  I don't mess with color due to the reasons PP gave about dark brown hair.  

But before she started cutting mine I had paid as much as 60 for the same service.  I imagine if I did the highlights it'd be around 100-120.

I pay $120 for a cut and highlight- I do a full foil too.  I could probably get it somewhere cheaper but I highlight my hair a caramel color and am very picky and I love how the color looks when this girl does it.  It is so hard to find someone you love to do your hair!

I get a richer brown all over....two caramel colored foils....cut...wash...and style for $100!  That also includes my tip    I have been going to the same lady for over 5 years.  She always does an amazing job on color...and I have several people from my work that are now using her.  She is in Trussville!  If anyone is in need of someone new.....email me at PinkLadyRN (at) gmail (dot) com and I will give you her info
