Needing to have closure on my posts bellow & just so it?s not lost
in the numerous posts of my OP bellow. All I meant to do was to pass on
info and just pose a differing (definitely not popular) take to some of
the posts I had read.
Flame all you want. I am not going
anywhere nor am I taking the shots at me personally. Maybe I didn?t
use the right words as to not to offend anyone, for that I apologize
BUT I did say that wasn't my intent. I am not taking the discussion
personal and I wish others wouldn't as well. How does one disagree
here without being attacked for it?
These are not peer-reviewed
academic journals (don?t have access nor time to look right now) but
these do highlight the controversy over the issue and the changing
message in other countries towards minimizing even moderate drinking
(1-2 units once or twice per week) while pregnant or TTC. My only point
is that there are risks to consider and we all do the best we
can with the long list of considerations and warnings come along with
being (or trying to be) pregnant.

I get it. You want to change the world in some way. Don't we all? You
want to get out that drinking is harmful while pg. Talk to the drs
that say moderation is ok. Talk to the pg alcoholics. Talk to the
drug users. Talk to the people getting drunk and stupid and don't know
who their baby daddy is. Don't biitch at a group of women who know
what they feel is right for them. If they want to drink while pg or
drink until its pink, LET THEM. Its their choice and their child. Its
just like busting in on a couple because they choose to circ or not.
You can't shove that off on anyone. Now let the god damn subject die and you just might be able to come back without red flags popping up wherever you go. And I still say, you are a biitch. And not the good kind.

all have our own opinion. I choose to limit alcohol during the 2ww.
This to me means to a glass of wine here a beer there. Anyway, I just
think some people need to learn to disagree respectfully and argue like
adults.

wanna go back and read what was posted there mrs.gardner. She posted
something about alcohol being bad while pg and then stated that we
shouldn't even drink during 2ww and said it was all there in the
website. I'll argue like an adult when someone realizes that they
shouldn't be shoving their OPINION down my throat.

think she was just trying to be informative although, yes, I think
everyone here knows pretty much everything about ttc. Idk, I guess I
just didn't take offense to it like the others did. I respect everyones
opinion on the subject but when there are like 6 new threads after hers
just to make fun of her...

gotta expect that on a public message board that isn't moderated at
all. But she needs to realize that what she said and was trying to
shove off on people was wrong. She should be preaching to those who
don't give a damn. Drinking during 2ww isn't going to do anything, but
if there are women that either don't want to drink, or choose to drink
heavily during that time, its their choice. I'm offended that
she's trying to make her personal choice everyone's choice. There's a
huge reason why I barely come back here, and this is a major reason.
People on soap boxes preaching and people who poke fun when someone
isn't around to defend themselves.

Yeah,
you have alot of good points. I think what you said about ppl poking
fun at other ppl when they're not around to defend themselves is what i
was getting at when I said disagreeing respectfully. On a different
note, why the hell am I awake at 3:00 am!? I am going to be super
groggy tomorrow.
