opinion on the "holiday letter"?
I know most people find them very cheesy, but I actually enjoy reading other peoples' letters, and I was thinking that now that the baby is here I would write one and let all the faraway friends and relatives know how she's doing.(plus, I can only contain the compulsion to write for so long..)
Do any of you ladies write one?
Are letters --no matter how well written or interesting-- simply doomed to be awful?
Re: opinion on the "holiday letter"?
I heart the one my Mom gets from the dysfunctional family we know that pretends everything is peachy in the letter. For example, "R has decided to persue the art of cooking...." aka: She works at Inn & Out.
When R was going through her Meth addiction, she was "away, traveling after High School".
ahahaha...I know, I know...I shouldn't laugh but still....I love it. And I look forward to their card every damn year!
My Food Blog
i would never write/send one of these, but i can't lie - i enjoy reading them.
but that's because i'm a nosy fucker.?
I thought about writing one the year too, but the only people who [i think]would be interested in reading it are those who are in our life on a regular basis. The last thing they need is an update on things they already know. That being said, I'm sort of ambivalent about receiving them - sometimes they can be very interesting-I wish I received one like LIsa's mom!
I'm a fan of sending the picture holiday cards with a short personal note on the back(or inside) .
And btw: I pink puffy heart wan-nabe
