Good thoughts for Neko

We had to take our cat Neko in to the emergency vet tonight. He has been very lerthargic since last night and we noticed that he hasn't been eating very much. Today I noticed that he had some pus around his mouth, was licking his front legs a lot, and his gums were pink/swollen. After talking to our vet on the phone at 7pm, he recommended that we take him in, especially since when he did try to eat it seemed as though he was gagging.

Very long trip later... (3 hours) we chose not to spend $400 on the bloodwork there as most likely he'll be ok until I can drop him off tomorrow at 7 am at our regular vet. When the vet tonight looked in his mouth, he has two deep cuts/lesions on the roof of his mouth and a spot on his tongue. Her first thought that he bit into an electrical cord but we haven't seen anything, not to say that it didn't happen. It could also be respiratory infection or kidneys, but she is doubting it given he is young.

Anyway, any extra good thoughts for him would be great (and me really, he is my baby!). This isn't how I wanted to spend Sunday night or start my week out!?
