on the topic of parking

so this lady pulls up and parks in front of my house, kind of off-center so as to make it difficult for a second car to park behind it.

She gets out, looks at how she's parked, and then gets back in and starts to back it up. How nice, I think, she's backingg up and now there's room for a car to park in front of her.

but no. she backs up, and then pulls forward and parks her car dead center in front of our house. then she goes to visit the people next door to me, who, incidentally, have no cars parked in front of their home.

Re: on the topic of parking

  • Ugh. I hate bad 'parkers'. 2 days in a row our neighbor's carpool buddy parked in front of our house, which isn't a problem, excpet that he parked and blocked a 1/3 of our driveway(which isn't all that big to begin with!). Across the street there's a whole stretch of street that is always empty. My mom had a difficult time maneuvering her focus and I had to take my Tahoe off-roading just to leave for work.

Needless to say, I mentioned something and it hasn't happened since. But seriously?

    I feel your pain....

  • OK so my neighbors across the street take up all the parking in front of their house, and most of the time mine. ?I hate it since we don't have a drive way, our Garage is off an alley in the back of our house, but we can't use it anyway. ?There is a loft inside it and my Tahoe doesn't fit under the loft and DH's truck is too long to fit! ?SO we need to park in front. ?I hate it when they have guests which is like every weekend. ?When the son lived there he at least would tell people to leave us some parking, but since he moved out, there is no stopping them. But everyday they have 4 cars, 1 in the driveway and 3 in the street. ?Sorry but you triggered my biggest?peeve?about my neighbors?image
  • Here is my 2 cents:

Before living in a gated community I thought I wanted it. Now after 3 years I am not loving it because of the parking situation not only for the residents but also guests. It hampers my party mood. I have now resorted to having our children's parties outside of the community. Still I am wishing and hoping to find a place that is "party friendly" parking.
