lol! He hardly seems like a newborn anymore. Baby Dexter will be 10 weeks old this Saturday! (Born via c/s on October 4)
I can't believe it's been that long already. He's smiling and laughing now, and I am soaking up every second I can before I go back to work in January.
I do love motherhood, although he's still too little for me to get much else done around the house or with myself. (These pregnancy pounds aren't going anywhere for a while.) I'm torn about going back to work. I'm not in love with my job, but my income makes our lives much more comfortable. I find myself in the odd position of hoping for a layoff with severance so I can have some more time with him. I'll still have to go back to work eventually. I'm not sure if I have it in me to be a SAHM or not. I certainly yearn for adult conversation during the day.
Remind me where in IL you live... I'd love to get more info on your child care situation. We are on a list at a center, but I'm not thrilled with it.
