At work we can't really discuss our frustrations for fear of not being a "team player". (Last time that happened I was called a backstabber in front of my team. No joke.)
These past 2 days at work have been ridiculous to the point I almost said, "Two weeks! Ta-da! You got em!"
My sweet, dear coworker and I had a chance to talk quickly when I came in this morning. She is one of those older women who just knows things. Very smart, but keeps quiet and sees a lot more then she lets on.
I walked by her desk and she told me, "Honey, I saw how upset you were the other day. And I went home an prayed on it for you. I prayed hard. I don't like seeing you that way, and I wanted to tell you you are doing a good job. Don't let them take it away from you."
How nice was that? Thank the Lord for people like her.
Now, to get through the rest of the week. Ugh.
Re: Confirming the crazy
I really don't think people realize just how much something like that is appreciated every now and then. A "Thank you" and a "You're doing a good job" really means a lot when you're going above and beyond day in and day out.
I agree . . Thank God for people like that sweet woman.
