We had almost 20 people last week... what happened?
Maybe we need to stop talking about cookies so much
In all seriousness, this is a *tough* time of year to think about this stuff. Even if you're not 100% on board, please feel free to check in and tell us about good decisions you've made or situations you're struggling with! We all need support on this front this time of year.
Re: (#) -- where you at?
Sorry, the 3 days we had minimal power at work through me off. We had no power at all this morning. I will be better tomorrow.
Oh I was so stressed out at work today, I am ashamed to admit that I havent eaten anything today. I will have a salad and grilled chicken breast for dinner.
my read shelf:
I've been so bad, I'm embarassed to even check in.

I am, however, pulling out my Dance Dance Revolution mat tonight for my first physical activity in ages (unless you count baby curls as exercise - my triceps are getting a workout, at least!).
My pants do feel slightly looser than when I bought them, though. I don't own a scale so I don't know if I've actually lost weight or if I'm imagining it.
I'm plugging away. We're going out for drinks tonight and out to dinner before the theater tomorrow, but I'm counting everything.
My short-term goal is 20 pounds by the time we leave for vacation on St. Paddy's Day. That's 1.4 pounds per week, which is doable. If I can do that, I will be at my lowest weight since HS. If I can lose 20 pounds by St. Paddy's, then I can probably hit my goal weight by the end of 2009!
Posting time has been rare for me the past couple weeks...yay playoff and all-area team announcements!
But the good news is on my first week back on WW, I lost 1.8 pounds. And for the first time in two weeks, I darkened the door of my gym and had a great session with my personal trainer this morning. Followed by a yummilicious salad from one of my favorite lunch joints a little while ago.
I know for me, the holidays (okay, ore the playoffs) are a total stress-eating trap so my goal is really just to get through the next three weeks and then really, really hit it hard in January.
But losing a pound last week and signing up for a few more PT sessions this morning (thanks to a nice deal she gave me!) have me thinking I just may be able to get to January with a few pounds off my body. I'll take it!
Honestly, though, I think there is absolutely no shame in just plugging through December. It's ridiculous the amount of food around AND the lack of time to take care of oneself...so KUDOS TO ALL OF YOU for even bothering to keep an eye on what's going on!!
Thanks for the shove!
I've been doing okay, despite all the business I'm doing really well eating lunch and dinner at home, so that's a step in the right direction. Still no movement on the excercise front, but my living room isn't quite the disaster it has been lately, so maybe I'll do that tonight.
This weekend there's a tapping at Rock Bottom, babysitting (pizza), and our family SF shopping trip - so all bad bad food, but lots of running/walking around!
Hope you're grandma's okay zoe.
I found that if Weekday Soprano ate Core to a tee during the week, she could eat dinner out on Friday *and* Saturday, have numerous drinks, AND have Ice Cream Saturday, and still lose. This was with 5 workouts a week, but STILL.
Woo-Girl Brookles can still be Woo-Girl Brookles!
WOW! No one needs to apologize or be embarassed! You guys are all doing awesome. The only wagon at the holidays is a runaway one, so if you even think about this stuff, you're as good as on the wagon, in my book!
Congrats, ladies!
