What do you think about the name
Trip or Tripp. We are not even pregnant yet, but if we ever have a boy this is what I want to call him. I want to name him, my mom's maiden, my maiden, then our last name. He will have three last names so I want to call him trip. Dh thinks I am nuts!!! what do you ladies think?
Re: What do you think about the name
it's ok...but like pps, NMS.
but i'm even against calling a kid by their middle name..hubs has to deal with this and hates that adam isn't his first name. it would make his life so much easier.

I can totally understand that. I'm a teacher and automatically the first day of every school year when I call roll the first day I call the first name listed and it never fails that their are kids who go by their middle name, etc.
I told my DH that whatever we give our child as a first name is what we will call them. And if it is shortened then hopefully it'll be obvious what it is short for. Like his name is Wesley and I call him Wes and Candi is short for Candice. I used to correct my teachers every year when they called me Candice but when I got to college I just let it go. It was easier that way.
But again this is just my opinion
that's DH's first name too and i've asked him before why they named him that if they weren't going to call him that. they used the middle name adam because adams is a significant last name in the family and he's said his parents have *never* called him wesley.

I feel the same way Candi!!!
I think its different....but I like different.
I would spell it Tripp.
I also agree with the other ladies that I don't like calling the child the middle name. My DH has this problem and you encounter it on paperwork and everything.
