I'm not sure if you're friend knows her or if you can help more but I'm going to contact her tomorrow.

Thanks Heather, it's just the first step but I'm excited.
In the past 2 yrs I've applied for 17 jobs at AU. I've had 4 that say "forwarding to hiring dept" for months now. BTW you won't hear anything from them til after the first of the year b/c they close up next week and they (HR) are SUPER slow. I have 2 others that say "in process". That dept is just so slow. I have one of the fwding ones that has been sitting like that since Aug. CRAZY!!!!
I just need something better, while I'm grateful to have a job, please don't get me wrong, the commute is awful and I'm always tired and it's not the kind of work I want to do. Plus w/the changes they have going on I'll be taking a step backwards and they have closed ALL positions, no new hires or transferring at all this upcoming year.

I just really want to work at Auburn...I always have..ever since I graduated...plus, I want to do more public relations type activities and not be so focused and evaluated on fundraising...I agree with you though...I am so glad that I am so fortunate to have a job and honestly, my job is pretty good. I just travel quite a bit and have lots of late nights...but searching for a job at AU is the pits...I think I have even interviewed 5 times in the last 6 mos. only to hear that I was over qualified or they couldn't pay me what I am making now...
Hope everything goes well tomorrow! I know you would be thrilled not to have to commute. And EAMC is such a good company. I have several volunteers there that I work with regularly. If you want, email me the name of the person you are talking with tomorrow. If I know her, I will send her an email letting her know that I know you, etc.
I know what you mean, and I feel the same way. I've only had one interview but I've applied like crazy. The thing is they don't always put what they REALLY want in the qualifications so then most people don't qualify. Not to mention they have to interview 3 internals first.
Thanks for the well wishes, it's just talking to her first - she wants to know more about me, my job history, why I applied, etc. So I'll keep you posted!!!

I left her a msg this morning and told her that I would give her a call again at lunch and that I was excited about the position and would love to talk to her further about it.
B and I looked at the job description again last night and I basically meet all the qualifications so I'm hoping that I'm a good fit and she likes me!!! Well and that the pay is decent too. BUT I wouldn't have much of a drive at all!!!!

I am doing ok, I thought the doc might give me an antibiotic but he said he thinks it's viral so it wouldn't do me any good. This congestion/coughing mess is bad enough, then the weather on top of that is not helping! I came back to work today, I should have worked yesterday and called in today, since Jarrett is off today
Hopefully she will call you back instead of you calling her. I really, really hope this works out for you! I saw your call on my phone last night, and Jarrett said, well, maybe she wants her money! Lol, I said it's not like I'm not going to pay her, and now she knows where I live! I will get it to you soon, I promise!
