Will this child o' mine ever stop climbing?

O-M frickin' GOSH!  I don't know what to do with her....she does not get it.  I have taken her down off the TV stand about 40 times already today.  I put her in her no-no chair and isolate her and she still does it...........UGH  Getting her down again.............................

Re: Will this child o' mine ever stop climbing?

  • Pictures!  Geez Julie, can't you remember to take pictures of this stuff when your daughter is scaling the walls?  LOL
  • I have the same problem with Victoria, and she's not even walking yet!! She's standing up to everything now, and cannot sit still for more than 1 minute at a time. I miss when she was just a little sweet pea who didn't move LOL!
  • Reese is the same way! She's still not even walking really well but she can scale anything. I went to switch the laundry around earlier and came back to find her standing on the coffee table.
  • Sorry Julie!  Have you tried blocking the tv stand?  i.e baskets of toys in front to distract her and that way she stops at the toys, instead of ignoring them and going for the tv.

she'll eventually get it, and part of it is that she gets a rise out of you each time she does it.

  • hahaha, pictures Julie...

well jordyn isnt climbing anything BUT she's non stop walking, that's the reason I didnt want her to learn to walk at 10 months, isnt she supposed to be chillin crawling??

  • I have the same problem with Owen. We have to put our kitchen chairs up on the table after we are done eating, otherwise he can climb up them and onto the table. We also had to move our computer since Owen climbed up the superyard that was around the desk and I found him sitting on the desk one day!
