Downtown help this weekend
DH & I haven't been to the city for awhile, and since Sunday will be 50' we want to spend the late afternoon/evening there. Please help me plan the day. We will be taking the metra arriving at Union Station. Are the free trolleys still running? We want to go to the Kriskinglemarket, take a horse drawn carriage ride with hot cocoa in the evening to enjoy the lights, and a casual dinner somewhere (we won't be dressed up), and some shopping (still need a 1st xmas together ornament, some guy stocking stuffers, little things really) so what stores/area can we find those? (watertower place, state street stores, Michigan avenue stores?). Not necessary to go ice skating. Is Navy Pier doing anything fun inside (like the little shops/kiosks?) help me plan a route and things to do, tia!
