Just curious, for those who have purchased a home, how long after the offer was accepted were you able to move in?
We are making an offer today! It's our first home, it feels very surreal.

First, CONGRATS on making an offer!! Yay!
Our realtor made us a cute calendar with all of our "important dates" listed on it... From when we made the offer, to when we got the keys, was about 3 1/2 weeks. That was 3 years ago though, now with all of the financing problems going on, it could easily take 5-6 weeks.
After the offer was accepted, we closed in 12 days (December 2007). It was super fast, but we worked with a great team that wanted to give us keys before we flew to Arizona for the holidays. Congrats! Where in the area is your place?
