Well, it is a 16 book series!
I am not sure if you are looking for something that involved or not! 
hehe!
The series is about a Chief Medical Examiner, Kay Scarpetta. She is also a lawyer and has detective work in her blood. Fabulous series but only if you can handle reading about autopsies and such.
