January Lake County GTG/Meetup??
UPDATE!:
GTG (Get Together) DATE - Saturday, January 31st
TIME: 1pm?
WHERE: TBD??
Preferably close to the Metra stop for those commuting and not wanting to deal with parking/driving. Here are some places suggested:
Firkins
Wildbrerry
Mickey Finns
Morgans
Any thoughts?
I'm originally from Waukegan/Gurnee and know the area pretty well, having lived and worked there for about 30 years. My family is still up there so I'd love to meet up with fellow nesties who are in the area next month.
Re: January Lake County GTG/Meetup??
This sounds like a plan. I'm not too far from libertyville/vernon hills. Not sure where we could all meet since I'm pretty new to the area. As far as availability, perhaps on a weekend...?
The Libertyville or Gurnee area would be great for me!

Any suggestions on places to GTG?
At this point, I think any of those dates work for me.
Joelen, I can always pick you up from the L'ville train station if you have car troubles.
What about Firkin? http://firkinoflibertyville.com/
Or there is Morgan's, which is more casual pizza/bar food type. All the usual chains are in Vernon Hills, so we'd have our pick at just about anything if we wanted to go that route.
Any of those dates work. I could not to 1/24, but that date wasn't listed.
For restaurants, there's Wildberry in Libertyville, great breakfast and lunch foods, though it would probably have a wait. http://wildberrycafe.com/ Corner of Milwaukee/21 and Buckley/137.
Or Mickey Finn's Brewery, http://www.mickeyfinnsbrewery.com/ on Milwaukee/21 just south of the Libertyville Metra stop.

Replying so I can see where you're going. I don't have any suggestions, but Lville/VH are great for me.
