Happy Almost-Holidays, Everyone!!

How's your Christmas preparing coming along?

We have a 3-day-wedding next weekend that kind of threw a cramp in the holiday planning/parties/etc , but I'm actually really excited about it .. all of the pretty Christmas decorations and the snow ..

Well anyway, have a wonderful day .. and wish OTLEAH a speedy recovery from her rotten cold!

Re: Happy Almost-Holidays, Everyone!!

  • Nicole!!!!! You're the best!

We're celebrating the holidays starting this next weekend by throwing a big b-day party for my mom who is turning the big 6-0. Lots of family and family friends will be in attendance, so it should be a great time. I absolutely love this time of year and wished that it didn't have to go so fast!

This will also be the first time we'll be hosting our family for Christmas Eve since we've got our house to actually have a celebration at...I'm cooking which means "watch out"! Enjoy these really quick weeks everyone!!

  • I love this time of year!  We actually celebrate Christmas with my mom's extended side of the family early...so that is on Dec. 21st.  I cannot belive the time is going so fast!  We don't have to travel this year either, and I'm really looking forward to that.  My sister is in the military and will be coming home for Christmas this year.  She hasn't seen Isabel since she was 4 months old (now 20 months) so that's another exciting peice of our holiday.  My immediate family decided it was okay to have Christmas at our house on Christmas day...so that will be fun to play hostess.  Oh, and I'm almost done shopping (only have to finish up my students' gifts)..and that's a first for me!  I hope everyone has a very happy holiday :)

  • We haven't really begun to do our Christmas shopping. DH is done with finals on Thursday, and then we're heading back to CA for 2 weeks. I didn't want to buy and wrap gifts here, and put them in a luggage to possibly get opened by the TSA. So instead, we're going to begin Christmas shopping on Friday. Gives us a good 4 days to get everyone. But I love the rush of Christmas shopping! I just hate the lines and finding parking.
