Reach out! Reach out! Myyy brothers and sisters, reach out!
In loving and caring
In giving and sharing
Reach out together, reach out!
For some reason I just thought of this song we used to sing in chapel back in elementary school. I sometimes wonder if anyone else sang the same retarded songs we did.
Re: Reach out! Reach out! Myyy brothers and sisters, reach out!
G, L, Y, S, D, I....
God loves you - so do I! Pass it around, it will come back to G, L,Y, S, D, I, God loves you - so do I....pass it around, it will come back to ....
YOOOOOOOOO, OOOOO-OOOOO-OOOOO-OOOOOOO!
Whaat? Is that really a Four Tops song? That was in our chapel songbook. lol
oh okay.
We also had The king of glory comes, the nation rejoices! Open the gates before him, lift up your voices! Everyone really liked that one, because we got to clap and shout. We also sang a really pretty song w/ the Prayer of St. Francis as the lyrics. But most of the songs were silly.
Crap, now it's stuck in my head. I hate it when I get oldies stuck in my head.
We had the same stale chorus songs year in year out..."Where Have All The Flowers Gone" was one of them.
"I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" was another one they used. (The same song from the so-called outstanding Coke commercial. Never liked the song or The New Seekers.")
I remember one year they actually indulged in songs by "Up With People." heheh "Up With People...." Ugh.....Up With People was one of these dumb musical ensenbles that traveled as a group and tried to spread goodwill with their music and songs...and "message."
