Disneyland & Stroller question
So we are going to Disneyland next sunday (I know we are crazy, but dh's family want to go before xmas) and my question is, should I take my double side by side stroller with us, or do you think it would be too big. I have 1 umbrella stroller and was thinking maybe I could get another, but then there is no room for the boys stuff. I looked at renting a stroller at disney, but it's like $15 each or something. Anyone have any tips for going to disneyland with small kids?
TIA
Re: Disneyland & Stroller question
this sounds miserable ?as much as i love disneyland, i just can't handle it at christmastime.
that stroller sounds like it will be such a pain in the ass to maneuver around the park. ?do you think you'd be able to handle a single stroller and putting your other baby in a carrier, like ergo or beco? ?i've walked around the park for a day with the bean in the ergo and was quite comfortable, and got a great workout out of it, too. ?you could always switch the boys around during the day, or maybe your husband would take one of them for a while to give you a break.
We have a tandem not a side by side and have no problems with it at Dland. You'll be fine with either. Whenever we've been in a crowd and need to get thru, I have DH walk in front of the stroller to be my buffer...lol.
FYI - there are not stroller allowed in the que lines for rides and shows, so you'll have to "park" it outside of the exit/entrance; and leave any personal belongings with the stroller. There usually isn't a problem but I'd suggest that you not leave your purse/wallet there just in case.
Also there is a baby center in both parks...just ask someone for it. They have diapers, wipes, bottle warmers, formula (I think). Anyway, I think you'll have a great time!!!
XOXOXO
Definitely take your stroller. The d-land strollers are gross and look mighty uncomfortable for tots! By chance do you have a hip sling? If not, I would definitely take that too. I usually take my stroller and hipsling. I take the stroller to wheel around the park and then the sling to hold Ella while waiting in line. I also take my PPB, which is a backpack, so Sal wears that:)
My only advice is that if you do California park you leave well before 8pm. If you decide to stay then don't even try entering the park until at least 30-35 minutes after the fireworks. That's around 9:30, unless the winds interfere.
Take lots of blankets, it's been really cold and fill your diaper bag with lots of snacks!
