Did you live near the LV strip?
Re: **Syl679**
The closest I've ever lived to the hustle and bustle of the strip was about 7.5 miles.
Here's a few of my favs (in no particular order). Some are off the strip as well.
Hank's Fine Steaks & Martinis(Off the strip, Green Valley Ranch Resort)
Craftsteak (MGM)
Prime (Bellagio)
Twin Creeks Steakhouse (Off the strip, Silverton Casino. Not the fanciest of resorts, but I've never had a disappointing meal there.)
Michael's (South Point. Again, not the fanciest of resorts, but Michael's used to be at Barbary Coast. This is the type of place where when you drop your napkin, someone is plopping a clean one in your lap 2 seconds later. Everything is a la carte.)
T-bones Chophouse (Off the strip, Red Rock Resort. I've eaten here way too many times b/c it was literally in my backyard. Yummy food.)
Here's some non-steakhouses too that aren't on the strip.
Paymon's Mediterranean Cafe & Hookah Lounge - They have two locations, but I always like the ambiance of the one located near UNLV.
Sedona - (www.sedonaclub.com) Chad and I frequented this place a lot. The seared ahi tuna is to die for. I'm not sure if it still is, but this place is owned by Andre Agassi.
Agave - (www.agavelasvegas.com) Good Mexican food and a huge tequila bar.
Brio Tuscan Grille - Italian food. This one is located on the south end of the strip in Town Square.
No problem! I know what you mean about being buffet-out. Growing up, whenever company came into to town it's like it was just easier for the grown ups to take everyone to a buffet. Especially with my big Filipino family. Now, the only buffets I can tolerate are Bellagio and Wynn. For the crab legs of course!
