best form of advertisement?
I have a pampered Chef biz, and really need to get it out that I am doing this. Any suggestions? I am thinking of putting it on the radio. What do you think?
Re: best form of advertisement?
well i am not sure how much it cost to advertise on the radio, but i would try cheaper methods first (if i were in your position). i would send out an email to my friends with my info, and publish the info on sites like facebook and/or craigslist just to start with.
good luck!!
I think that what Tiff is saying is a good start. I've never heard someone doing this on the radio, not to say that's a bad idea, I just know word of mouth is the best form of advertisement.
Host a party for someone w/o any strings attached at their house and invite anyone and everyone you know, then get them to sign up for parties from there. if you are the type (since I don't really "know" you, ha ha) that can make people feel comfortable about it w/o buying or committing to a party, then they will remember you and want to do this.
Also, the catalog parties work well too. Did you try a party around Nov when it would have been prime for Christmas gifts?!!?!? Think of those times of the year when people are most inclined to buy. Also, you can do these parties for wedding showers, when someone moves, etc.
GL!!!!
I just feel like I am doing parties for the same group of ladies. Don t get me wrong I appreaiate them, I just cant seem to get any new ladies involved.
ask about their friends, do a catalog party and see if anyone is interested in a home party. Have you asked other PC consultants around the country what they do?!!?!?
maybe you can do some sort of promotion for your friends to bring friends to your parties. for example, i occasionally attend "stampin' up" parties, and the hostess usually has a "bring a friend and get $5 off" (it is usually $10 for 5 cards). i don't know if there is any kind of fee for attending, but maybe you could do something similar for them bringing someone new or referring someone. or give them a little gift for a new friend or referral.
GREAT IDEA THANKS
I just started selling Watkins products and they have in-home parties called Good Tastings parties.
I have found the best way to drum up some new business is to do a vendor booth at public events. We have done three in the past month, and all were a big success. At each event we have a drawing for a basket of goodies or a gift certificate. To enter the drawing they fill out a card that gives us their info, and also we ask if they would be interested in hosting a Good Tastings party, interested in becoming an associate or interested in followup service from us. Our first event alone we had 10 "yeses' for parties and several people said they were interested in becoming an associate!
It's a great way to get your name out to people you wouldn't otherwise meet. The booths cost us about $25, and we have food samples out to draw people in and talk to them. That is the key, I think- something to get people interested in what you are selling. Set yourself apart from the crowd, you know?
You can check out my blog at www.goodtastings.blogspot.com for photos of our past events to get some ideas.
HTH and good luck!
