Did yall know about Auburn on the Today show?
Re: Did yall know about Auburn on the Today show?
I think it's awesome too.
About Charles Barkley, he is going to say what he thinks no matter what the situation is, that's just Barkley for you. He's actually really nice in person. I'm not making excuses for him nor do I agree w/him (I agree w/you Lindsay) but I think he just has strong opinions and doesn't care what people think when he shares them. Unfortunately it gives us a bad image, but I think people know what he is like, I think the students protesting and the video of the guy at the airport is worse IMO. Those people look like idiots, we already know that Barkley is going to voice his opinion so it's expected and I think he wanted to say what some were feeling even if it wasn't the consensus.
Not everyone is going to be in agreement on the hiring of a new coach or changes in general. If you remember, people were outraged (not like this) when Tubs was hired b/c of how he left Ole Miss, etc.
and we never know what will happen, we can't predict the future, as my mother says, we aren't mindreaders!!! ha ha
I look forward to seeing what is going to happen and I think this was great for Auburn (the Today show) but I am sad about the asst coaches and their families. It's harder when you know these people personally.
I agree about the students protesting...one guy made a fool of himself on the news last night. And the man at the airport just made me mad...can't we just support the decision and see what he can do?!?
I feel bad for the asst. coaches and their families too.
I am so happy to hear this! If I could move anywhere else in Alabama, Auburn would definitely be it. I love it down there!
And Katie and Lindsey I agree with ya'll totally! I got so frustrated yesterday due to some total idiots who aren't willing to give a new coach a chance. I really enjoyed Coach Chizik's press conference and felt like he had a fire about him and I for one think he is going to be an great coach for Auburn.
Yeah...DH was telling me about Auburn being on the Today show last night, but I didn't get to see it. Thanks for posting this Katie!
I do wish people would at least give Chizik a chance. I admit, I'd rather have a coach who has had a better past two years, but the last two years do not mean he won't be a great coach at Auburn. I think some people should just wait and see how he does...who knows? It could be a great thing.
i love living in auburn..small town feel but you have everything you need within a 15 minute drive. i've already told adam that whenever we retire, i want to come back to auburn.
as for Chizik, i'm still iffy on how things will go but i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. You can tell he really does love Auburn and he seems like a nice enough guy. only time will tell.
