Iust need to throw myself a pity party
instead of holding it all in. We are so excited that we are moving into the house this weekend. We decided to celebrate by throwing a new years eve party. Nobody can come. I feel like such a complete loser. I used to be a cool chick a long time ago. WHat happened? Anyway, I really don't have the heart to tell DH. It just sucks. I feel like my life is completely falling apart. My job sucks. I have no friends. The only part that even makes me happy anymore is DH.

All you girls seem like such great people. This board is about all the socializing that I do. Maybe one day DH and I'll have to go up there and we'll just have to have one huge gtg!

I'm sorry Jen. What if you waited to have the party after the new year - most people are still out of town, or they have plans so I wouldn't take it personally. Plus, I'm not one for NYE parties b/c I can barely stay up that late!!! lol.
I bet you have friends, I know how it feels when you try to plan something and no one can come. This is a hard time of the year.
But I bet you are one cool chick. And if you feel like not enough people know that, get involved, is there an alum group for where you went to college? were you in a sorority, where there would be a local alum group as well? church? junior league, or some other community service group? options are endless honey!!!

I'm sorry about the party. I know how you feel though. I agree with Katie...have a party later in Jan and then I'm sure more people could come. New Years always seems to be a difficult time of year for people to make everything on their list.

I feel like this at times too since we never wanted to be in Montgomery this long (who knew the economy would get so bad). But when I feel like this it really helps me to plan a date night with DH and get out of the house and do something. Then the next day I send old friends e-mails, call people, etc. It sucks when those days come along but they pass. I hope it gets better. Maybe you could wait until the end of January and have a housewarming party.
