so. we're not pregnant. c goes in next tuesday for a dye test to check for blockages in her fallopian tubes since everything else has been looking really good. everything i've read about the test does not make it sound at all pleasant. next friday is the utrasound, and i'm guessing our fourth try will be on the 29th.
we're also switching donors to our backup for the next attempt. we had a hard time deciding between them in the first place and went with the first one because c liked him better. i liked the backup a little better, so i can't say i'm upset about this particular turn of events.
what's going on with you?
Re: ttc wednesday
we are waiting for me to ovulate sometime next week so we can do iui #3. If this does not work we will need to order more sperm. Our current donor was retiering soon so when we bought we bought 3 of his remaining 5 samples. If we need more we will check and see if he still has vials and if not we will choose a new donor. I am hoping we don't need to do that.
Sorry blue that this round didn't work crossing my fingers for next round.
ugh. i'm sorry to hear
i hope you get some answers and/or have great luck with the new donor.
nothing really new with us. Andrea was head over heals in love with the babies we watched last thursday. in fact, we're now going to watch the twins every thursday. and this saturday we're watching our favorite 9 month old so mommy can get some shopping done. i'm hoping all this baby time will get her clock ticking
in terms of us, specifically, we're still taking a hiatus from thinking/talking about it - she got way overwhelmed and i know from experience that she'll be ready faster without any pressure. big sighs.

Originally we had been planning on getting started after the holidays but T's still having quite a bit of health problems, she had an MRI last week because her nero is still worried it may be rapid onset, she has surgery tomorrow morning to remove Phillip (the possible ovarian cyst/tumor/who knows what, which i mentioned in my Thanksgiving post) and it just doesnt seem like a good time to even think about a baby, let alone add onto her pressure and stress. I have decided I am going to start working on losing some real weight to keep me occupied in the meantime. I'm shooting for 75lbs and then we can start talking babies again, that should get me to a really healthy point and then also keep me busy for a year or so. Hopefully then we will have T's medical stuff under control and back to normal and also maybe the housing market will allow us to sell and move into a larger house which we will need for a new baby.
Sending those of you trying lots of baby dust for this time around!
Blue - I've had the dye test and it's really not bad. K had it too. They told me to take Motrin ahead of time which I didn't do. After the test I had cramping, but not anything worse than regular menstral cramps. I would however reccommend having C listen to the dr and taking the motrin ahead. Otherwise it's really fast, and fasinating...watching the monitor I could see the dye light up my tubes - I thought it was cool :-)
No news here. We talk about little stuff, but not serious stuff. I through out names here or there and try to get K to linger in the baby section a bit (although I'm not too successful at that). We'll be seeing my bf's 10 month old next week so I'm hoping a little youngin' time will remind K that we want this.
Hey Blue,
Good luck to C next week with the dye test. Hopefully you'll see some nice clear tubes!
As for us, nothing new at the moment. Just waiting for me to ovulate so we can get this show on the road. I really hate all this waiting.
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD
Bloggity Blog - You know you want to...
I have a question. As you are going through your TTC/PCP journeys and challenges, do you want to hear about our pregnancy? Sometimes I feel like I am being insensitive or bragging or something, when I talk what going on with us, knowing that others are struggling.
Good luck to everyone!
I also had the HSG (dye test) and I won't lie, I found it really painful. But I had a radiologist do it (rather than an GYN or RE) and I have heard that makes it worse since they don't do them regularly. But it only hurt for <2 minutes and I was back at work as soon as it was done - actually I walked back to work when it was done and felt fine.
yes yes yes. i do, at least. we'll get there (very soon i hope), and i have a big mouth so when we do i will probably be here spouting off about what's going on with us--unless someone voices an opinion the other way. i for one want to hear about the positive stories, too!
thanks everybody for your thoughts on the test. i've passed on the experiences and advice to c about taking something beforehand, and i believe the re will be doing her test so hopefully it will be quick and painless.
I will definately echo the taking a pain reliever before hand. I have one blocked tube, so it was a little painful when they pushed the dye though on that side, but it was all over pretty quickly. I went to work a couple of hours later and felt fine. The catheter wasn't any worse than when they do the IUI. Also, remember to bring a maxipad with you. You unfortunately leak the dye out for a few hours. Yuck.
Good luck, hope it all goes smoothly.

Yep, me too! As far as I'm concerned- the more details, the better.
ditto.
everyone is at different stages of the journey and I love hearing about them all!

OK... So our update... We are less than 3 weeks away from the due date. W has been having lots of braxton hicks contractions. She doesn't feel any pain but her belly gets hard and the baby kicks out a foot and elbow. It's so cool how her body is preparing for labor. It's crazy....it could be any time.
