I got a new pair of jeans today...

and I was about to wash them but I noticed the label said dry clean only.  I don't want to ruin them beacuse I really love them, but I've never had any of my jeans dry cleaned before and I really don't want to start.  So should I just wash them and not put them in the dryer or get over it and take them to the cleaners.

Re: I got a new pair of jeans today...

  • What kind of jeans did you buy?
  • super cute! wonder why they are dry clean only? Where did you buy them from?
  • Franceseca's Collections
  • HUMMM I have never heard of them, but they are cute. MAybe post on the FAshion board and see what those girls have to say?!
  • Those are cute!  I would probably just wash them on gentle and not dry them...but I'm not one for dry cleaning!
  • who is the designer?  I remember my Citizens of Humanity jeans said that and I NEVER drycleaned them.  I always washed them on gentle w/woolite and then dryed them over the rack.
  • The designer is Miss Me.  I think I will just wash them on the gentle cycle.
  • I suck at cleaning advice but I do have to say I got a new pair of Lucky jeans over the weekend and I love them!  I wore out my other pair (literally- they have a hole in the back/butt area!) but they are just my favorite jeans!  I definitely get my money's worth out of them.  ;)
  • Ditto to PP.  I would wash them on gentle, and then let them hang dry.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Check the label and if it says 100% cotton, they're just like any other jeans and I'd treat them like my other jeans. I'd turn them inside out and wash them in vinegar though...not detergent, so they will hold their nice color. They are cute!

Steph, B and I LOVE Lucky jeans!!!!  and we love what the label says on the zipper, LMAO.  Mine are almost worn out too and they are my fave as well.  I always get mine on sale though.

Ali, you should be fine if you wash them on gentle w/woolite.
