Land of the regifts... LOL...
So we had a Christmas party at one of my schools today. I was pumped about it because we were exchanging gifts and finding out who our secret pal (that we had for the last semester) was. We had to bring a final gift for our secret pal and a thank you gift for the person that had our name this semester.
Umm... LOL... totally about to sound like an ungrateful ***, but, LOL, this sort of thing ALWAYS happens to me. I have learned to take it in stride and laugh at this point, lol. Let me say that I got my secret pal and the person who had my name nice gifts.
The gifts I got from both people were totally, way obviously, regifted, LOL.
Gift #1: A random assortment. A pointsettia vase with a wax tart inside, the tart had a label from some other package stuck to the back. A box with a reindeer head on top and candy inside. The side of the box was REALLY sticky and had fuzzy dirty crap stuck to the it. The candy inside was really old. Also included was some snowman magnet that had been bent to hell... I don't know what happened to it... LOL. It'd be one thing if this person wasn't well off, but she makes a LOT of money. A lot. Yeah. LOL
Gift #2: A set of Santa ornaments. They were nice, but they're not my style at all, and I'd imagine you'd have to be 70 to appreciate these. Anyway, When I open my package and show people what I got, one person said "Oh, she collects those!" And it all comes together... the ornaments were in styrofoam that's in the shape of a box, you know? But there is no box... so that tells me that someone got those for her a long time ago and she probably already had them, so she never used them. She pulled them out from whereever she had stored all this time, wrapped them up and gave them to me.
My luck, lol. I mean... I try to be thoughtful in my gift giving. I would never intentionally give people some total crap!

Nothing like Christmas to bring out the tacky in people. I'm not mentioning my front yard either. LOL
Well, what's bad, is person #1 up there, with the old sticky stuff, I bought for HER all semester. I got her all sorts of fun goodies, and that was her "thank you" gift to me, LOL! At the beginning of the semester we had to fill out a sheet with our likes/dislikes, so I was always sure to go by her list. Yeah. LOL
