Who all do you give a Christmas gift to other than friends and family? For example, hair stylist, mail carrier, childcare provider, etc? Also, what types of gifts do you give?

We've always given to the mail carrier, in the beginning it was fresh baked cookies, candies and such but we've started doing a $25 Visa or AMEX gift card... this year we are adding the sanitation guys, they do such a good job for us throughout the year. When we aren't creating "art" in the yard, we have a lot of clippings throughout the year and they don't even leave so much as a leaf. When I visited my hairdresser regularly, and I haven't now in years, I'd leave an extra good tip plus a small gift.
I think I am going to give our hair stylist a funky Auburn bracelet from this shop downtown called auburnart.com. They had several different ones, and I actually bought a few for other people as well. I just hope they still have some. They were 25% off this past weekend. DS is getting a cut tomorrow afternoon.
For DS's primary caregiver at school, we are doing a $25 gift card to Niffers (her fave restaurant) and a tin of homemade cookies. All the other teachers will get a picture card and a tin of cookies.

Here at the office, we give gifts to the mail carriers, garbage man, guy from the city who picks up the trash on the streets, and the water lady. LOL - I don't know their names because I never see them - FIL does. We usually give them gift cards to Wal-Mart.
We gave a small box of chocolates and $25 extra to our housekeeper who comes twice a month.
I think I'm going to make some cookies to bring to my hairdresser next week.
