Took the first Rail runner to Santa Fe

The train was interesting - much more chatty than the buses.  My morning train was on time (the 5:30 out of Downtown ABQ) and 1/3 full.  The afternoon was much more crowded.  And parking was a bear at a lot of the stations.  It'll be interesting to see if ridership keeps up and when they'll sync the ABQ buses to the trains......

But sitting on a train going up and down La bajada definitely beats DRIVinG it.....

  • Fun  :)  I'm sure that people will continue to use it!

  • I hope people keep using it!  I have a couple of clients near the stations in SF so I think we're going to use it for work, at least part of the time.
Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • Well, I'll definitely be on it.  Public transit makes the daily ABQ-SF commute bearable.  They were saying 2,500 on the ABQ-SF portion this week.  I take the 5:20 am train, which is empty.  The 4:15pm coming back is crowded!
