Swim west or Kittleson swim school?

I was going to sign up Maya for swim classes.  Both are very close to where we live so I'm just wondering how each place is and which you would recommend.

Thanks.

  • I don't have personal experience but I've heard good things about Swim West. We just took Isabelle to the Oregon pool because it was cheaper. I think the heated pools would be nice though!

  • I would go with Swim West, Kittleson hired (& fired) someone I knew who was very under qualified (i.e only swam in a middle school club team).

I just read this review from insider page, " My family attends SwimWest and we love it! We have friends who go to Kittelson, and while their "aquatic facility" might be nice, their teacher turnover is ridiculous, and their lesson prices get higher every 6 months! I have finally convinced my friends to switch to SwimWest after Kittelson's recent price increase. They love it here now as much as we do!"

  • I should also mention there is a positive review on insider pages as well.

  • We took our Maya to Kittleson in Sun Prairie and were very happy.  I saw many of the same teachers from one lesson to the next.  The class sizes were very small and Maya did really well there, and the warm water pool was very nice.  I have not heard anything negative about Swim West, though.

  • We go to Swim West and really like it.
