Any Milwaukee Area moms?

I'm currently SAHM and am looking for some sort of playgroup.  Any moms around here interested in some sort of meet up?

Re: Any Milwaukee Area moms?

  • ?

    I'd be interested! ??

  • I will soon be a SAHM, and I would love too meet other moms!
  • I work 2 days a week, but I'm off monday/wednesday/friday. I'd love to bring DD to a playgroup.

  • I work Tues and Thurs, but other days I would love to give DS more play time.

  • Hi!  I'm in Sussex too.  I'm currently jobless but will hopefully find something in January.  DD is home with me Mondays and Fridays (need to keep her in daycare part time so the transition back to full time isn't too hard for her).

  • Mon. and Fri. sound like they would work out the best with everyone's schedules.  I'm at a loss where to meet though since my LO is still pretty small.  Any ideas where we could have our first meet up?  Also, do you guys prefer meeting on a Mon. or Fri.?
  • Any day would work for me. I am also at a loss as to where to meet. There is a Monkey Joes in Waukesha, but I think they have to be 18 months old to really enjoy it.
  • Mondays or Wednesdays are my real "free days", so thats when it'd work best for me. ?

here are a few ideas of places, none of which I've been to, just seen online:

    monkeyjoes.com

    thebigbackyardwi.com

Ugg--I can't remember the name of the other one. ?The Big Back Yard is in New Berlin.

Betty Brinn is downtown, that'd be another one. ?During the week its pretty nice and empty.?

  • I'd be interested too. We could always try the play area of Bayshore.
  • Wildcard gymnastics is open on Mondays and Fridays for toddler time.  It's $5 a child and is open from 9-11.  They are located on the corner of 60th and Lloyd.  My girls love this.  Lots of things to wear them out!
  • The Bayshore play area sounds like a good idea.  Since it's free, people can drop in and come and go as they please.  Does 1pm on Jan. 5th sound good?
  • That is right in the middle of naptime for us so we may not be able to make it.
  • Would the morning work better then?  DS doesn't have set nap times yet, so I'm pretty flexible.
  • 1 pm is also smack in the middle of naptime for us. Mornings do work better, but I don't want to be a PITA!

  • Morning is fine then.  Are either 9 or 10 am ok?
  • 10 works best for us.

  • 10 would work best for us too. Now here is the dumb question. Where is this place? I have never been there before.
  • 10 works for us! Just so everyone know its in the foodcourt area of bayshore.
