Visiting San Diego for Christmas - what to see/do?
Hi ladies! I'm a D.C. gal but my mom just moved to San Diego from Portland, OR, a few months ago. We are flying to see her next week over Christmas and I'm wondering if you'd mind sharing your absolute must-see/do/eat lists with me! I'd really appreciate it! Thanks in advance.
Re: Visiting San Diego for Christmas - what to see/do?
What area will you be staying in? I'd definitely go to Balboa Park, especially since its decorated for the holidays...
There are always the major attractions (zoo, seaworld, seaport village, balboa, ummm what else??)
Depends on what area you will be at though! You will have fun, the weather is nice again...we had rain all week!
Balboa Park museums, architecture
Hotel del Coronado to see tree, lights, shopping, lunch...
Zoo or Wild Animal Park
Old Town
Sea Port Village - touristy, but still nice for a walk and beautiful view, shopping
Midway Museum- next to Seaport Village, if you like ships
Hornblower Cruise or bay cruise
La Jolla Cove - view, shopping, food
Mission Beach roller coaster if interested (go during day)
