Reading or Wyomissing area Nesties..can you recommend a restaurant for tomorrow night?
Nothing special, we are coming to town to scout the area, look at homes, etc. We have no idea what's there, so I am looking for ideas.

The short version is I would check out Third and Spruce Cafe or the Pike Cafe both in West Reading. There are a lot of other places in the area that are good too, so here goes:
Wyomissing has most of the major chain restaurants between the mall area and the Target shopping center area. You can't go wrong with any of those. I saw Austin's was mentioned, and that's good. Toscani is an Italian place right by Austin's and they are awesome. I would go there for Italian before Olive Garden or Buca, but that's just my preference
Arner's is good. Panda Heaven is good Chinese/Japanese/Sushi and so is Hibachi. If you feel like venturing into downtown Reading, The Peanut Bar and The Ugly Oyster are local favorites. Both are on Penn Street. One of my favorites in the city is Canal Street Pub. If you like Indian food, Aashiyana on 4th Street is great.
If you want to stay away from Reading, but still want places with local flair, check out West Reading. It's actually an entirely different town and it's really nice. I love West Reading. Third and Spruce Cafe and the Pike Cafe that I mentioned above are both in West Reading. I've never actually been to the Pike Cafe before, but I hear it's good. I really like Third and Spruce. It's a good casual type place.

**Edit** I forgot to mention Zoup!! Kind of like a Panera Bread, but they specialize in soups. Really good! It's in the Shoppes at Wyomissing (fancy new shopping center near the Berkshire Mall).
Malibooz at the Reading Airport is fun, and you get to watch planes take off and land while you eat!

Pookie- that Italian restaurant sounds good- we'll have to try that out!
Toscani is great! It's owned by the same people who own Viva. I'm a little embarrassed to say I've never heard of Malibooz, but now I want to check it out!
