As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Power Updates? We're back on - finally.....
I came home late on Thursday (after picking up Chinese food that DH called in b/c he reported we still had no power). I turned down our road and saw he had the whole house lit up. I literally cried tears of joy for a good 10 minutes. I felt like I hadn't seen the inside of our house for weeks. We were in the dark for an hour and a half short of 7 full days.
To those still without power - I am not at all joking when I say - you are more than welcome to come and stay with us. I know how frustrating the situation is. We have warmth, light, and most importantly water. My heart still bleeds for anyone in the dark. Please feel free to reach out if you need anything at all.....and please keep us all posted.

I was jumping up and down in my office at work on Wednesday when my sister called to tell me my power had just come on, about 6 hours short of a full 6 days without power. I had heat at the house, but no running water so Ruby and I were sharing my parents' couch because they had power in time for dinner that Friday - less than 24 hours without power for them.

We got our back Saturday at 10:00 PM - it was the best Christmas gift ever!
We got ours back on Saturday as well...OMG 9 days without power...I literally jumped and danced with glee when we came home on Saturday and the whole street was lit up!!!
