So I did the majority of my holiday shopping at Ralph's...buying gift cards that is. DH thinks buying gift cards from the grocery store for various merchants and in various dollar amounts is a bit impersonal because the dollar amount is on the card. I look at it as I didn't have to run all over town buying each card individually. And even if I were to go to each merchant individually, I would still be writing the dollar amount on the inside of the gift card holder anyways.
What do you think? Impersonal or practical and I'm a genius?
Re: Gift Card Poll
I don't see what the difference is. As you said, you're gonna write the amount on there anyways. The only difference is that it doesn't come in a cute little box or something like that from the actual place. But, Target sells some really cute gift card holders that I purchased to spice them up a bit....
Nicole you literally too the words right out of my mouth! haha
you are a genius, of course! Why drive all over? And what's the diff if the denomination is on the card or written in?
These days I think a gift card is a great gift. I know "it's the thought that counts" but when you can't think of a great gift, it's so thoughtful to give someone the power to pick out something he'd really like.
I love our Vons gift card center! They have every store on our list & I am done holiday shopping within 15 minutes. Can't beat it.
