Ever been to Sur La Table?

It's my year to plan Valentines Day (I know it's really early) and I was thinking it might be fun to do their "date night" cooking class on Valentines Day. On their website it states they provide a "tasting size" portion. Really, how big is the portion? Would it suffice for dinner or will we leave hungry?

Thanks

  • I would say you would still be hungry.  I would probably hit up Manzana's forhappy hour first, get something to eat, go to the class, and then head somewhere for dessert.

  • I took a cooking class there with my husband and it was for Indian cuisine. We left completely and utterly stuffed! They may provide a menu of what you are going to make. Maybe see how heavy the food sounds and gauge from there.
  • I took my mom to a cooking class at Capril's store in Sellwood a few years ago (it's closed now), and we had plenty to eat.  The wine samples were very generous also.
