What are your holiday plans?

With Michaela gone, we've decided to not do much this year. It's not the same without her here and to top it off, I'm feeling rather homesick for the first time since we moved in June.

 My parents were here a couple of weeks ago and one of my brothers will be here this week and the other brother will be here next week. We'll exchange gifts with them while they're here but are waiting until Michaela gets back to do the rest of our gifts.

I'm hosting dinner tomorrow night for about 15 people, prime rib with all the fixings. It's difficult because my sister and her kids are all picky eaters. I feel bad for BIL, he's a chef and nobody in his house will eat any of the yummy things he makes. Hopefully there will be enough things that they will eat so I don't feel like a bad hostess!

Dh's family is coming over tomorrow night and thursday morning my family will come over then on our way to my aunts for dinner!

We'll drive out to Agua Dulce Christmas Eve to spend with MIL and DH's siblings.  Then we'll fly Christmas morning to San Francisco to spend the rest of the weekend with my family.  Not sure when we'll squeeze in DH's father...

We're going to my mom's early afternoon and having dinner and exchanging gifts with my parents and siblings.  Then we're heading to DH's uncle's house for a gift exchange with his extended family.

Tomorrow night we go to my Nana's for carnita's and tamales, then it's off to my IL's to celebrate X-mas eve with tamales and home made enchiladas. On Christmas we go to my Nana's house for lunch and then at night we head off to my Aunt's house for pozole.

We basically eat for 2 days straight non-stop:)

Tonight we are doing Christmas with my mom's side of the family.  Should be interesting.  Tomorrow is Erik's side of the family and then Christmas morning we go across the street to my parents and have breakfast.

Christmas eve I think we'll be all alone (dh & kids)  My siblings will all be with their in laws and my parents are going to my aunts.  Christmas day we will go to my little bro's for a little bit, then my older bro's.  I kinda feel sad, doesn't even seem like Christmas time to me....

tomorrow night my mom is doing xmas-eve dinner at her house (a giant filet mignon roast! and a turkey breast, for MIL, who won't eat meat). it will be DH, S, and MIL. SIL and her BF aren't coming.

Christmas morning I'm doing brunch at my house, my mom and sis are coming over; my mom has to work in the afternoon and my sister refuses to come to my inlaws with me so I don't know what she's doing (other than pouting, which makes me sad) Then DH, baby and I are going to his cousin's in Huntington Beach, for dinner... don't know how well that's going to work since they like to do Christmas "dinner" at 3, and Blair will be napping at that time.... I feel like poop too, maybe I'll get really sick and opt out....

DH is working until Christmas morning. ?We are going to IL's early and then coming home to have a quiet dinner here!

We're in Chicago. Tomorrow around 5:30 we'll go to church with my parents and then we're having seafood for dinner (crab legs and lobster). Christmas morning we're here at my parents and we'll have monkey bread for breakfast and then our traditional Christmas dinner (standing rib roast and Yorkshire pudding....yum!) On Saturday we're going to DH's sister's house to see a few of his family members but things are really screwed up with his family so we're keeping our contact with them to a minimum.
