So over breastfeeding/pumping

So, I've had one hell of a struggle with breastfeeding. So tonight I"m sitting here pumping, look down and observe my nipple squirting blood. This is just fantastic. I'm waiting for my doctor to call me back, I"m assuming I can't feed Joey bloody milk. Well, I'm not going to feed that to him anyways! Why can't this be a tad easier???

Re: So over breastfeeding/pumping

  • I have no advice but I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with BFing. I did as well and never really took to it so I quit after about a month. Good luck, I know how hard it can be!
  • I also have no advice, but that sounds so painful!  Hope it gets better!
  • Boobs are such a pain.

And Joey thanks you for your service lol :o)

  • Sorry you are having trouble.  I do know that a little blood is ok....not sure how much you have.  I had some pain for about 6-7 weeks (shooting pain that would radiate down my arm) but that passed and now we are doing well.  You have given him a good start.  Many women breast feed for a month or two and then switch to formula.

How was Joey's first day at daycare?  Any problems?

  • Daycare ended up being great! Joey had a great day and did an art project! He put his footprint on a paper stocking!
  • I so love it there!  I have a pile of baby art already:)  He was sooo cute when we got there and they put him in the crib next to Emma that day.  One of Emma's favorite teacher's will be back after new year.  She told this one little boy that he couldn't be Emma's boyfriend because he was too high maintenance and she is too chill.

  • OMG, I didn't realize that Emma and Joey are in the same room...that is so cute!
