I'm headed up to NY tomorrow with DH to be with his parents until Sunday. This is the first year I won't be with my family on Christmas day and it's actually harder than I expected! We exchanged gifts with my parents tonight and I left feeling a little sad when we left. (I know, I'll get over it!)
Anyway I just wanted to say happy holidays to anyone out there and I hope everyone has a safe and healthy break!!!

Re: Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays to you too!
Last year was the first year I wasn't with my family, and it was really hard too. I never thought I would be sad, but I was. So I can totally understand where you are coming from. We are headed to Ohio to spend the holiday with my parents later today and staying through Sunday.
Safe travels!!!
Merry Christmas to you, too! Have a safe trip and enjoy DH's family.
My family has been in another state since 2001 so I'm used to it but I still miss them over the holidays. This year we're with my husband's family on Christmas Day and then we'll be driving up to MA on Friday to see my grandmothers. My parents and siblings are in NC and FL, though. So far away...
