holiday ttc

anyone around?

c had the dye test yesterday. it was not pleasant for her to say the least, even after taking 4 advil (or something similar) before she went. but, we had good results and she won't have to do it again--at least not any time soon--so at least there's that. perefctly shaped uterus, smooth walls with no scarring or polyps, and the dye went through quickly with very little needed. so we're well on our way to try #4.

also, send good thoughts to some friends of ours if you're reading this today. they tried for years to have a baby, moved toward adoption and then decided to try one more time. it worked, but the baby has stopped developing. he's being delivered by c-section today (a little over two weeks early) because there's much more they can do for him once he's out.

  • Glad the HSG went well, good luck on #4
  • Glad the test went well, although it is definitely a bummer that it hurt so much.

We have had some drama since last week.  On Thursday night, W slipped on some ice.  She caught herself before she fell but did a split.  She pulled something and was in more pain than I have ever seen her in.  Every time she moved at all she was screaming.  She is slowly improving but I have had to do everything for her because she is basically on bedrest.  She is frustrated because she is not someone who is good a being still.

She was 38 weeks as of Tuesday, so the baby could come at any time.  We went to the midwife on Monday and she said the baby has dropped and W also lost weight (although prior to bedrest her feet and legs were really swolen).  Signs that she is almost here.  We are hoping she will stay put until W is more mobile and in less pain.

  • thanks everyone. from what i have heard he is here and doing well, although i have yet to talk to the mothers as i'm sure they are very, very busy and i don't want to bother them.

bklynbrides, i'm so sorry to hear about w's fall. that must have been very scary. i hope she's feeling better and is back to normal very soon. keep us posted!
