What's everyone doing tomorrow, and what's on

your menu?

We'll be at home, one advantage to being older is that the kids come to you. I wish I could travel to visit with my folks though, I miss them everyday but especially at Christmas. ;) Bob's son has been here for a few days already, David arrives tonight and I won't see Lauren until Thursday but the three of us will have our Christmas then while Bob takes Robert back to Louisiana.

We'll be having: Hickory Smoked turkey plus a roasted turkey breast, cornbread dressing, wild rice casserole, sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts (yeah we are strange, we like 'em) Parkerhouse rolls, squash dressing and a few other things I will throw together sometime tomorrow morning.

Re: What's everyone doing tomorrow, and what's on

  • We are spending tomorrow afternoon at my mom's house....then we have to spend tomorrow night at DH's grandparents with all of his family!

I am in the process of making 2 corn casseroles....a chocolate cake....and a pie to bring to each gathering!

  • We spent yesterday just the 2 of us :)  Since we had to work Christmas Eve and today also, we are going to my home tonight and went to DH's home last weekend.  We had pot roast w/potatoes and carrots, blackeye peas, green beans, and brown rice...I wanted to fix a different menu than what we would have at my grandmother's tonight and my mother's tomorrow.
  • I am late on this but we had Thanksgiving type food for lunch---turkey, dressing, green bean casserole, etc. at lunch and then BBQ at dinner at my grandmother's house...her family used to roast a pig every Christmas...so we have BBQ.
