Can anyone tell me about Big Bear Mountain/Lake?
I am desperate for snow!! ?I can see it on the mountains far in the distance, but I think I need to rent a cabin and go sit by a fire for a weekend, drinking hot cocoa and making snow angels w/ DH and Ethan.?Neither of us ski, so there'd have to be something else there in the way of activities (or inexpensive lessons).Also, does anyone know how young kids can start skiing? ?E's 2.5 years old and I really want him to learn to either ski or snowboard since I learned neither as a kid growing up in NH (yeah, i know, that's bad). ???Happy Holidays!?

big bear is fun. ?there are lots of cute cabins for rent, and they've got a ton of snow right now. ?bear mountain and mountain high (in wrightwood) both offer lessons, but they don't start until age 4.
i personally prefer lake arrowhead to big bear, although the small outlet mall up there might have something to do with it
?unfortunately, snow valley's lessons also start at 4. ?i think that's the ski resort in the area.
but snow angels are for all ages!?
