Small electrical shock while pregnant?

Has anyone had a small electrical shock while pregnant?  I was plugging in a phone charger yesterday and somehow got a small shock from the outlet.  It didn't really hurt and I pulled away really quick, but I am still a bit nervous about the effect on the babies.  We have our big u/s tomorrow and more than likely nothing happened to the babies, but I wanted to see if anyone else has gone through this.

Re: Small electrical shock while pregnant?

  • If it didn't hurt, it likely wasn't any worse than a shock from walking across carpet in your stocking feet :) I'm sure the babies are fine!
  • I shocked myself much worse than that the day before my big u/s. ?Everything was fine - just stay away from google. ?Unless it was strong enough to knock you unconscious or something, you're fine.
  • Thanks for the reassurance!  I did Google it at first and then decided I would stop reading because of the things that popped up!!  I have learned my lesson to NOT Google things anymore!  I will let everyone know what we find out tomorrow!!  :-)
